One of the deepest insights I've had about going into the Bitcoin rabbit hole is this relationship between the characteristics of the money and then the users of the money. A lot of that relationship is mediated through time preference, which again, it's kind of the rate at which you prefer the present to the future. And like an interesting insight is also that we'll always have some positive time preference because we are mortal. Yeah. We cannot have a civilized society with the broken money. That's right. You could almost say that the integrity of the money supply and the integrity of civilization itself are inexorably bound. Exactly.

Josef Tětek joins me to discuss the relationship between the Austrian School of Economics with Bitcoin, the impact of time preference, and the non-state properties of Bitcoin.
