Kant's Suicide Is a Bad Idea, Right?
Kant thought it was very simple, suicide is wrong. But what's interesting about kant is that he gives an entirely secular account for why suicide is always wrong. This separates him from many of the people who think they're appealing to some god that chiselled some into a mountain a thousand years ago. Kant thinks that if you even try to commit suicide, not even succeed at it, but even just trying to commit suicide,. is tantamount to discarding your humanity. You are now lower than the beasts te kant lower than animals.
