Did You Ever Think I Would Be a Journalist Like Dad?

Did you ever think that I would become a journalist like Dad? Because obviously my dad, your husband, the famous Rick Thompson, was a journalist and still is. Did you ever imagine what I would grow up to become? Well, all parents wonder that about their children. And so maybe it's a happy story in that regard, in that his life somehow is more fulfilled than it would have been. Yeah. And he makes worthwhile relationships through it, doesn't he? Which he didn't have before. That's a philosophical point. You know, is it worth it? Is it life worth living if it's not lived to its fullest extent?
