In 1863, the Union is like, but we need Galloway to get us an army. They finally decided the 54th Regiment Massachusetts was the first all-black regiment of the war. And so instead it just becomes an organizer. Two of Frederick Douglass's sons were in the fucking 54th. I didn't know that. But I just blew my mind.
