German Tank Marines Jump Off, Set Enemy Tanks and Shoot 'Em!
In other cases, tank marines would jump off, swarm enemy tanks and then sometimes get inside of them. A veteran of the tank tenth tank corps had that t 34 has three 100 leader fuel tanks on the right side, an additional ten leater drum with motor oil on the left side. When an armor piercing shell penetrates the side, fuel or motor oil spills into the tank, and a cascade of sparks falls on the uniform and everything blazes up. That is why there exists amongst tankers a unique, unofficial measure of courage, the number of times you've been on fire inside of your tank.
