The Importance of Taking Time Off
When people ask to take time off, my stance is I need to come up with a reason why they shouldn't. So the way I see it is my obligation as the boss: Is there a reason not to take timeoff? If I can't immediately come up with one, then I automatically approve it. But often it can be really challenging if someone takes time off because there's almost always a thing that that person would do that no one else on the team is really prepared to do during their time off. "There is very rarely... Even though we are a small ... So this is the flip side of being a small team," he says.
