Water Clocks - The Ancient Timekeeping Technology

A water clock regulates the flow of water from one vessel to another. Clepsidra a work at night, which is very handy for prayer. Other technology we haven't talked about in terms of telling the time is with your nose. These are called fire clocks and were used in mediaeval china. It's like smell of vision for a time.
