Coke Industries expanded from a company worth hundreds of millions to a company worth tens of billions. When the documentary aired on public broadcasting service in 2012, David Coke was so incensed he resigned from the board of New York's public television station WNET. A spokeswoman at Coke Industries declined to comment on whether the documentary was his reason for punishing the station. But Coke bluntly told one friend about the film, it's going to cost them $10 million. Another family friend is quoted as saying, they move in a world with people like them or who want to be. They know no poor people at all.
