The Importance of Race in the Pre-Capitalist World

In the pre-capitalist world there wasn't a such thing as race and i think that's a really important point. We get into this problem of we think that race creates racism and forget that it's racism that always creates race right? The act of racism gets mystified and and made into something natural like it gets naturalized in ways that even break it to betray it for example.
