The Nazi Burning of the Library of Alexandria

In 1933, the Nazis burnt down not only the Institute, but also its library and archives. They took a bronze bust of Hirschfeld and all of his precious books,. which they piled in the street and then they burned them over 20,000 books. As I said, rare, unique, hard to find sort of stuff about gender non-informing people and basically LGBT people in general, just all burned. All of that knowledge gone. It literally says in the article that the collection was irreplaceable. Just look at exactly what is happening and compare it to what's happened in the past because these things don't happen all at once. There's a slow burn and then suddenly
