Jabe's Wilson was given a job to copy out the encyclopedia every week. He did it very diligently and received four gold sovereigns as payment. After eight weeks, he turned up at the office and it was locked with a sign on the door saying that the redheaded league is dissolved,. meaning it's been stopped. It turned out to be a place that manufactured artificial kneecaps. And so at that point, he was so confused and he really wanted to work out what was going on.
