The Differences Between Specialized and Standard Factory
Specialized use multiple factories. Some of their models may come from the same factory that make a certain other brand's models, but then other of their models come from a different factory. Every specialized frame that you see in the Tour de France is not the same as the specialized frame you buy in your shop. This is one of the reasons why you won't see many issues with specialized in the water. It seems like it's just because they've got the huge lab and can invest in that sort of thing.
