Celeste uses read Solomon erasure encoding and in Ethereum they use what's called KZG commitments. The difference there is that in erasure coating It's possible for you to basically forge to pretend like you're you're yet that you when you extend the data You can do it in an honest way or a malicious way where it looks like you extended it.
