What Is the Material of the Creed From Scripture?
The Ten Commandments sums up a body of moral teaching and moral teaching that's really subtly handled throughout the biblical text. Luther himself will talk about the addition of, I think it's the phrase communion of saints. He picks up on refinius' commentary on the Apostles Creed that there's not there that later is added. And so he sees it as a clarification.
