How to A&R a Sample Record
Samples are a pain to work with from a label perspective. As a rule, try to always favor original music over samples just from personal preference when I'm signing releases. But sometimes you just hear a record and you think that sample has been really well used. Sometimes tracks need familiar stuff. Need familiar samples to kind of give them a new life. That's what makes the track.
