Climate and Energy - What's in the Deal?
The bill would spend 370 billion dollars over ten years. A lot of that would go to tax credits for things like solar panels, wind turbines. It would also provide incentives for newer technologies, such as carbon capture or advance nuclear reactors. Part of the deal would ease permitting for oil and gas exploration on federal land. The white house has had to reverse their tune and encourage more natural gas development and production because of high petroleum prices.
