If you could choose one warm blanket of your own, what would it be? I think we need to learn to see our students and all their messy, imperfect, and underdeveloped but potential-filled humanity. We need to prepare to encourage to harden students even though we may know that they are capable of more. They already perform at the absolute limit of their capabilities.
