The Problem With BRT Crawl
The first system opens in Runcorn, England in 1971 as part of a new town development. These sorts of bus rapid transit systems do not perform quite as well as the Metro but they certainly give something like light rail or run for its money. So there's always rooms for cost savings, right? Even when the cost saving is blatantly false economies that will harm the project. This is called BRT creep, but creep, bert creep.
