Centipine was the New Zealand appendix of the human potential movement. Their guru, Brooke Porta, self-advent therapist, but actually a pest control salesman had gone to Essenan in California. He learned gestalt therapy and encounter groups and all these new agey, radical, scream and cathartic therapies with him back to New Zealand. And eventually they're bought land and started this really beautiful, largest intentional community in New Zealand.
