The Differences Between Girls and Boys on Missions

I always used to feel like if you'd been on a mission, then you automatically scored, you know, somewhere higher on the your voice had more legitimacy scale. Now that so many more girls are growing on missions, I'm wondering has that changed? But boys seem to have this sort of church legitimacy as soon as they come home from a mission. And when I hear women sharing stories from their mission, it is not in such a grandiose manner or such a public manner.
