Occam's Razor, Skotus' Razor?

The doctrine isn't that you should cut out entities as much as possible. That's not Occam's razor or Skotus' razor, right? The idea is you do not multiply entities beyond necessity. So what makes an entity necessary is what you need to explain something that needs explanation. And so he, in other words, Skotus would say he didn't use the razor right. He cut away an entity that was needed to explain.
