The Rise of the Cultural Illiterate
When I first started teaching in seminary, if the word culture was used, like intercultural studies, it was always over there. And we weren't really thinking about culture. Now, happily, I think that's all changed. The church has to react to cultural developments that it doesn't fully understand or that it at least have got ahead of it. But simply knowing that it's there isn't the same as knowing what it is.
