The Landscape Calls the Water

I think this is something people don't really understand about how rain is pulled into the interior of the country. There's a researcher called Milan Milan who did some work in the Mediterranean and they found that 80% of the rainfall in the Mediterranean basin came from within the basin. So practicing, you know, if you are overgrazing and creating bare soil, those practices are actually a social injustice to your neighbors because you were taking away their water through degrading your landscape. And thereby the other side of that is we can have an effect that's an affirming effect, that's a life restorative effect. We can regenerate or degenerate.
