In June 2022, a Tiktok are known as Chef P started posting videos of herself drizzling or dipping various foods in a goopy, pink substance she called pink sauce. The intrigue of it all saw Chef P's following grow from only 800 followers to 142,000 with 4 million likes in just one month. Eventually, she amassed 14.9 million views as a result of the attention garnered by her mysterious pink sauce. But like many things that go viral, Chef P's sauce was quickly caught up in a controversy that left a bad taste in many people's mouths.
