Timothy Stanley: The Russians view this as a strategic fight that has to be won because they view NATO as an assault on their sovereign security. He says for the rest of the world, we see genocide, mass graves, war crimes and we see the illegal crossing of a sovereign border. "How do you reconcile these two very different ideas?" he asks.
