In 19 o six, mc gee created the landlord's game to show how rent systems enriched landlords while impoverishing tenants. Ma gee also felt that no feminist movement could succeed without larger changes in the economic system. Mc gee was a follower of henry george, an economist who believed railroads, telegraphs and utilities should be publicly owned rather than controlled by monopolies.
