Python: A Scientific Programming Language

I think Python now is super big for scientific programming. Back then it was pretty radical. I mean, this was like 96. There were basically no tools available. It was very minimal tools. And then a lot of what you faced was pushback because people thought, well, you know, can't write real software in a scripting language.
