Is the Next Upgrade a Proof of Stake?

The next up grade is really just turning off proof of work, ok, and shifting the mechanism to proof of stake. It'll be the charting that comes on line that'll give them that nice little bump up in capacity. But ouu se that's not the holy grail of of scaling a therium forever. That doesn't mean layor twos go away, right? No, definitely not.
