The Social Disparity of Jerusalem in the Late 8th Century

There's clearly this shift in the social structure. The types of vessels that you find and the frequency of them changes as you move into, say, the late 8th century. As opposed to having maybe more family members that will require more materials, you're looking at smaller families who are a bit more discreet. And potentially you're even looking at soldiers who have a limited ration type of food supply. So the whole shift in the ceramic repertoire is really interesting and goes with the change in the architecture that you see at that time period.
