Fear of crime is linked to the belief that women are incapable of navigating alone. Women fear social social condemnation for their from their own communities so they may not even report sexual harassment, says Corollibram. The idea that she is looser than the entire family's name could be jeopardized her sisters could be seen as unmariable and this can be overturned through feminist activism according to Corollibram in an interview with Jane Austen.
