All bi pap patients do not need to be in the unit, meaning if bi pap is being used for palliation with someone at the end of their life. There are situations where patients lorific, and you may want to trial them on non evasive ventilation. Logistic issues. Sometimes it's clear that a patient is going to need to get an emarind they're not going to be able to stay still for that. So those patients may simply benefit from up front intibation. And i think probably the classic situations there would be your sympathetic crashing acute pulmanary dema patient,. Or scape cartganic pulmnar dema with elevated blood pressure.
