The Buddha's Tears of Compassion
In the inca and free inca mythologies of south america, there is an image of a deity who has shown with tears streaming down from his eyes. Now this gives a kind of orour rather tender minded attitude that has been cultivated, particularly recently. And so we come to the buddha idea. Al life is sorrowful. It is. And what is the escape from sorrow in nivana is getting past the desire that it should be this way, or the fear that it might be that way. That immovable point, as will be seen a little later, is the point of arc. now i mind little her friedman.
