"I'd rather someone told me I sucked every night for like three months than that," he says. "Painkillers, skateboarding, that's what skateboarding always saved me." He admits to smoking weed because the painkillers made him angry. The addiction has affected his skating and skill sets so much it allowed him to not fall into other addictions.
