Getting the Chords in Before the Beats Start It

I really love re harmonizing a melody. So we often end up doing that in our original songs now, like with holding on with gregory porter for example. On the last record, me and jimmy napes wrote that with gregORY around a piano,. And then we wrote the whole song over that, and then did exactly this... We recorded the acapella, took that away, and then me and guy re harmonized it into what it is now. Ah, i find it much easier to re harmonize the chords underneath a melody than to write a melody over complicated chords. Thats ow usually goes, ner cords or beats start it. 99 %
