How to Invest in Stocks That Are Diversified
A well-diversified portfolio is anywhere from 10 to 20 stocks depending on who you talk to. Apple takes up a very large percent of the S&P 500, but even at that point, if we look at the largest stock on the SP500, Apple still doesn't take up any more of your portfolio than a well diversified portfolio would. If you're investing in more than three funds or so, even more than two funds, you're sort of diluting all of the other stocks that make up the lower portions of those funds.
