The Importance of Flexibility in Show Business

A writer who's actually a very, very accomplished showrunner being asked to run a show for a streamer for 20 weeks getting paid by the week. So his episodic fee, which was a quote that he earned over 25 years has basically been cut by 60% if he takes the deal. And of course they have to live in LA County, I guess. It isn't a way to sustain a business to rein big rated business and to make sure that there's a constant flow of successful product coming down your pipeline. They're stepping on the hose at the very beginning and it's a mistake.
