The Precariousness of League One Football
There are probably less than five clubs in the EFL that either turn a small profit or break even every club says we're working to a we want to start being a break even club. I'm not saying every club makes stupid boneheaded financial decisions that puts their club at risk but even the clubs whose core values are let's say extra city who are fan owned put so much energy and money into improving their facilities and youth system. Even they like really struggle to fund the club in league one, Newport County have been punching above their weight budget wise.
