Is the backbone of Western values Greek or Judeo-Christian? Well usually I don't accept an A or B choice but it's Greek. The Greeks have virtues like courage, which is also a virtue and objectivism. It's certainly involved in dare to know. Not faith, hope and charity. That's more specifically Christian than Judeo. But what is the Judee-Christian ethic? It's one of obedience, sacrifice, bowled head and communal,. That's the opposite of science, technology, progress, celebration, pride, achievement, money-making, so forth.
