The History of the Chinese Exclusion Law

The 1882 Chinese exclusion law obviously wasn't good for watchong's labor supply business. Thanks to the efforts of Chin Geihi and the watchong organization, the Northern Pacific Railroad was employing about fifteen thousand Chinese workers just in the Washington Territory. The Rock Springs Massacre ended up inspiring similar actions elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest. In matters finally boiled over in 1885 when Dennis Kearney is most often remembered as the figurehead of the West Coast anti-Chinese movement with his provocative and racist speeches.
