The Importance of Mechanical Falls in the Emergency Department
As we get older specifically around that 70 to 75 year age mark, the mortality related to falls takes a sharp increase. Falls are not just something that happened out of the blue. They are what's referred to as a geriatric syndrome. A syndrome in terms of geriatrics refers to a multi factorial health condition which occurs when we have impairments that have accumulated over time.
