Law Enforcement and Mental Health Issues in the US

If there's not a desire and intrinsic motivation from people to obey the law, if that starts to erode, then of course you're going to have more and more issues. Another stressor is just increasing mental health issues. And so yes, they might not be spending as much in terms of resources to staff law enforcement, but they're having to spend those resources either individually or collectively in other ways to try to prevent harmful actions by individuals.
