Coins in a Row

There's a solution I was introduced to recently that involves increasing the number of doors in order to see what the crux of the problem actually lies. There's another problem in this chapter, which you call coins in a row that pushes the technique in a slightly different direction. And so as one more example, I wonder if you could introduce that puzzle. Sure. So the puzzle goes like this: 50 coins laid out in a line on a table in front of us. You get to pick a coin from one of the ends and put it in your pocket.
