My Father Was Good at It, but My Mam Had Less Autonomy Than My Dad
"My father was state president, bishop, did all those things, ok. But for me, watching that, i could see that my mam had less autonomy than my dad," she says. "And while i wanted to be married and wanted to love a man, i didn't want, i didn’t want to follow in her footsteps." 'I expended a lot of energy trying to figure out why it was right... until at a certain point i felt i gave myself, and god gave me permission to see it as i saw it, which is not right'
