We're very German centric in the way we think about classical music nowadays. Who are some Neapolitan or just Italian composers that really should be on that same level when we talk about great composers? Leonardo Leo is one of the most amazing composers and his music is almost totally unknown today, still to discover. Vincenzo Bellini was greatly admired by Chopin List, even Richard Wagner. Verdi was a proud student of the Neapolitan tradition of the Rante Fender Ali.
