I couldn't agree more that he's sincere, you know, distance doesn't doesn't obviate sincerity at all. I've found that the deadpan surface over these sincere emotions, he's done it so many times now. And in this one, none of that stuff that you just talked about between those two characters, it never felt like anything more than dialogue to me. It never felt anything more like a thesis. But there is something that I have read a lot of criticism about this film in particular and what she's bringing to it. So I don't know, but I would agree with your assessment of those scenes.
