Criminals would send money in the mail to brad's father. Paul Simpson acted as a 'money mule' for the criminals, intercepting and forwarding cash or trepaid cards on to the criminals. After all, he has no money left to give them. It takes a while, but brad is able to put together the pieces and discover the disturbing truth. He finds out that Paul is working for them now.
