Alexander Kogan launched an app called, This Is Your Digital Life in 2013. The app consisted of surveys that were designed to build out psychological profiles of users. But the downside here or the dark side was that this app would also allow Kogan to access not just the people who consented to be part of this process, but also to those people's friends.
