Gnosticism becomes a denial of the law and opens itself up to what we might call anti-nominee as an anti-being against Gnomas, the Greek word for law. True wisdom then comes from listening to the law, repenting when you recognize your sin, not defending yourself. Wisdom is found in saying the law is right and I am not. The hopeful word comes when once the law has done its job of showing you your lack of wisdom... Now Christ has you dead and can finally raise you to new life.

In this episode of White Horse Inn, hosts Michael Horton, Justin Holcomb, Bob Hiller, and Walter Strickland discuss the importance of the law-gospel distinction and dig into the definition of the law and its impact on God’s people today.
