The Neo Manager and the Creative Class

I think there's something interesting where it's like you know there's this kind of image that like emerges I think in the 90s of the this like new manager. The neo manager isn't locked down to managing the factory floor like classically or even having to deal with minutia of planning how things will get produced and they're actually task based. That is very similar to the old bourgeois ideal of the artist which is like that of someone who can marry both independence and economic viability.
