Michael: For me, Strauss and Heidegger represent the two most serious alternatives in thinking about political philosophy. I would probably be more comfortable seeing myself as and being regarded as a Straussian than a Heideggerian. So that's how, and I'll never name one of his Martin, no disrespect to the name. But there are two, there are two absolute giants for me.
